The government of the USA is forcing shipping companies to collect the tariffs from us. (this is unusual as typically this is handled by the customs of the receiving country) Not only are the rules and amount changing frequently, this process also adds administrative costs to the shipping company which they pass on to us as administrative or brokerage charges. We have no way of calculating these automatically in advance. So people who place an order which is being shipped to the USA will be contacted with the additional costs and fees that are due. They will then have the option of either paying the additional cost or cancelling their order and getting a refund. Obviously, this will also slow down the process of getting orders out to the USA. Shipments to other countries are not affected.
